Reflections Art Contest

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school but in life.

Our students are challenged to create original works of art in response to a theme. The theme for the 2024-2025 program is “Accepting Imperfection”. More information on the theme can be found here

Details and Application

Mr. Brown, our school librarian, introduced the contest to all students this past week and sent interested students home with an info packet and application form. The packet can also be downloaded here. Physical artwork and the application form can be turned into Mr. Brown any time before the deadline. Please make sure your student titles their artwork and completes an artist statement. It’s very important! When artwork is being judged at the local, regional and state level, the artist statement accounts for 40% of the score. Parents can help younger students complete this section. Digital artwork can be emailed to Mr. Brown or directly to the Reflections Chair.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 15.

Questions about the contest can be directed to Neely Beltran and Mr. Brown can also help students as needed.
