Web Site News
If you’ve been to SeattleSchools.org lately, you may have noticed that the site looks different. The district switched to a new web provider on June 1, and staff members are working on restoring broken links and other issues. Thank you for your patience as the district works toward a better user experience all around for the Seattle Public Schools community.
Field Day is a Wrap!
Thank you Mr. Roberts, and your mighty crew of volunteers (including Mrs. Dublin’s 5th graders), who helped put on another fantastic field day in the park. .The popsicles are always a hit afterward A fun day was had by all!
Expect State Test Scores in September
The timing of the state assessment score reports has changed from June to September. These are the score sheets from your student’s spring Smarter Balanced tests in reading, writing and math that were finalized and submitted earlier this week. Last month, the district told families that the score reports would likely be sent home with final report cards.. Due to unanticipated delays at the state level, the district will now send score reports home in September. Scores also will be posted online to the Source in September.
September is the typical timing for state assessment score reports, but the district had initially anticipated they would be ready earlier. Thank you for your patience as we work with this new assessment system. To learn more, please see the Smarter Balanced web page.
