Parents Needed

Parent Volunteers for Lunch and Recess:
This year, for lunch, we have a super lunch group 12:00-12:40 for K, 1st, 4th, and 5th grades. We could use some help with playground and lunchroom supervision during this time. We could also use some additional help for playground supervision from 12:40-1:00 for 2nd and 3rd grades. If you can help, please contact Ed Roos, [email protected]org, or your Room Parent.

Tutors (paid!):
Laurelhurst Elementary needs tutors!  This is a paid position and has very flexible hours anywhere from 9- 19 hours per week, depending on personal schedule.  You don’t need to have prior experience. If you are interested, please contact Ed Roos, [email protected]org.

Reflections Student Art Contest during Creative Workshop:

Students will have the opportunity to explore ideas about this year’s program theme, ‘Let Your Imagination Fly’ with the one and only Mr. Brown during their classroom Library time. There will be a worksheet available for their use to support them in organizing their thoughts and exploring ways they might express themselves.  If you would like to assist in your child’s class during this library time please contact Ann Buratto at [email protected].
Volunteers for Various PTA events:
If you’d like to volunteer, we are sure to have something for you.  Please email us at [email protected]com.

Sign Up for Nerf Soccer (for Kids 6 and under)!
We’d love to keep the Nerf Soccer team fun going, so if any of you are interested we’d love to see you!

Note: If you have not done this before, it’s very low-key. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to team sports and work on basic skills. Include your friends!  LCC needs four teams to make it a go, but they would prefer six teams.

Practices start next week and games start in Oct. All practices and games at Laurelhurst gym.
